In 1974 with the rising popularity of power adders such as Nitrous, Superchargers and Turbochargers, McLeod recognized the need for a clutch assembly that was street friendly, yet still capable of handling up to 1,200 horsepower, and 1,500 horsepower with the ceramic disc upgrade and thus the Street Twin was born! This series of McLeod clutch kit is intended for high horsepower street enthusiast. Whether it's NOS, Supercharger, Turbocharger or a Big Inch mountain motor the "Original Street Twin" can handle it. Notes: Cable Linkage to T-56 Magnum: Tremec changed the ball stud location on the T-56 Magnums for the Ford application. This ball stud change effects the fork angle and TO bearing clearance, causing a pre-load issue on the fingers of the pressure plate. This clutch kit eliminates this issue by giving the customer more clearance with a shorter crank to finger stack height. This kit is specific to 1996-2004 4.6L/5.0L Mod Motors with 8 bolt cranks and Tremec T-56 Magnums using cable linkage.
