CSP IS HIRING

Now Hiring

Product Development / Production Specialist (Full-time · On-site · Welding Required)

Overview
We are hiring a hands-on Product Development / Production Specialist to design and produce new products in-house, starting with our line of coolant expansion tanks.

This role is split between production and product development. When product demand is high, the focus will be on producing parts (welding and assembly). When demand slows, the role pivots to developing new products, improving existing designs, and prototyping.

Welding is required. Candidates must demonstrate welding skills prior to hire.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld coolant expansion tanks and related components
  • Maintain consistent quality during small-batch production
  • Assist with product improvements based on testing and feedback
  • Pivot between production and development work as demand changes
  • Support creation of repeatable processes and fixtures as needed
  • Take increasing ownership of product direction as the line grows

Required Skills

  • Proven welding and fabrication experience (aluminum required)
  • Ability to produce clean, consistent welds
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable in a hands-on production environment
  • Willingness to complete a welding test prior to hire

Preferred / Plus Skills

  • CAD experience, especially Fusion 360
  • Experience designing parts for manufacturability
  • 3D printing or prototyping experience
  • Automotive or performance / motorsports background
  • Small-batch manufacturing experience

Growth Opportunity
This role is intended to grow into a division head position as product demand increases. Once production volume requires it, a production specialist will be hired underneath this role to allow greater focus on product development and leadership.

Compensation
Pay range is approximately $28–$40 per hour, depending on experience and skill set.

  • Help with simple tasks on builds and product work as instructed
  • Assist with staging tools, parts, packaging, and inventory as needed
  • Learn by observing and helping our team in real shop operations

  • Reliable, on time, and ready to work
  • Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when unsure
  • Positive attitude and willingness to do the unglamorous work
  • Attention to detail and pride in keeping things clean and organized

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Interest in automotive, performance, fabrication, or engineering
  • Basic hand-tool familiarity

Compensation
Pay based on experience and availability.
