The HPS Performance Universal Heat Shield is designed to enhance your vehicle's performance by effectively managing air intake temperatures. This durable powder-coated aluminum heat shield creates a barrier against radiant heat from heat sources in the engine bay, preventing it from raising air intake temperatures. By ensuring your engine receives cooler, denser air, this product helps to increase horsepower and torque. This heat shield is essential for maximizing the efficiency of your air intake system. Cooler air contains more oxygen, leading to more complete combustion and a noticeable boost in engine power, especially during demanding conditions. This heat shield is engineered for a straightforward, universal installation that allows you to clock it exactly how you need it for maximum coverage. It is compatible with most air filters up to 6 inches outside diameter, outside flange diameters between 2.5 and 3.5 inches, and flange lengths of at least 1 inch.
