Unveiling the Next-Gen 2027 Chevrolet Silverado — We take leaked sketches and turn them to reality

Andrew Zurick |

The automotive world is buzzing with fresh details on the upcoming 2027 Chevrolet Silverado, and today we’re excited to reveal our ultra-realistic visual interpretation — based directly on newly unearthed patent images and insider styling cues. With the full public reveal slated for 2026, these early design insights offer a fascinating look into the future of Chevy’s full-size pickup.  We want to be clear, these sketches were found on Car and Driver's website and we made them more realistic. A Fresh Face for Silverado

The most dramatic changes begin at the front end. Patent filings published in December show the Silverado adopting a significantly redesigned fascia that departs from the current generation’s styling. The headlights are reshaped with a C-shaped LED signature, visually linked to the lighting found on Chevy’s latest SUVs like the Tahoe and Suburban. Above them, thin LED “eyebrow” strips give the truck a modern, high-tech look, while the wide, imposing grille maintains Silverado’s iconic road presence.

Our render takes these details and brings them to life, envisioning how the new era Silverado could look in full, production-ready form — complete with realistic materials, lighting, and presence on the road.

Here's what Car and Driver was able to obtain:

And since we wanted to see what this might actually look like, we asked ChatGPT to render it and here are the results:

Sharper, More Muscular Proportions

Behind the bold face, the next-gen Silverado appears to adopt more pronounced fenders and a muscular stance that pays tribute to Chevy’s heritage while pushing forward with a modern aesthetic. The hood design — featuring twin bulges flanking a deeper central trough — hints at the powertrain capabilities underneath.

On the rear, the patent sketches also show elongated taillights with a design cue similar to the Silverado EV, giving the entire truck a cohesive lighting theme that should age well over the lifecycle of the next generation.

So the real question is - What do you think of the redesign?
