Rear HQ Shockwaves 8000 Series W/ 6.9 Inch Stroke And 2 Inch Stud A Pair Of Rebound Adjustable Shockwaves 5 Inch Rolling Sleeve W/ 1/4 Inch Fittings And Bearing Spacers 1/2 Inch And 5/8 Inch 14 Inch X 20.3 Inch W/ A 17 -17.75 Inch Ride Height. The 7000 and 8000 series ShockWave, W/ a smaller diameter and longer stroke, will have a less load capacity and a softer spring rate that is appropriate for the rear of most vehicles W/ a solid rear axle. The spring rate and load capacity is influenced by the profile of the lower piston.

A straight piston will offer a very linear, or constant spring rate, throughout its travel. A tapered lower piston will result in a more progressive spring rate, much like the double convoluted airspring.
