Powerful 2.9L Twin-Screw Head Unit with Huge Oval Throttle Body

Whipple's specially-designed twin-screw supercharger head units have always been some of the most powerful positive-displacement systems that you can put on your Mustang, and the Stage 2 Kit's 2.9L variant gets paired up with a drop-in intake manifold and a massive 132mm oval throttle body to give your Mustang's 5.0L V8 a huge jump in horsepower and torque over stock. Each head unit features Whipple's unique 3x5 twin-screw rotor design that efficiently compresses air before it even exits the head unit, making the Whipple system far more powerful than similar Roots-Style Systems. Power is further increased through the use of a massive 132mm oval, monoblade throttle body that allows the head unit to pull in all the air it needs to generate high levels of boost pressure, which means more horsepower and torque for your aggressive 2015-2017 Mustang 5.0L build.

Powerful Whipple PCM Calibration

Whipple engineers have developed a unique PCM calibration that reconfigures all the necessary engine functions of your Mustang: including fuel, spark, knock detection, torque management, transmission control and electronic throttle control. The vehicles PCM constantly monitors the engines torque output while monitoring many different parameters to keep the engine in its ideal parameters. If a parameter falls below specification, the PCM will lower boost and torque output until the problem can be cured. That's the kind of technology and fine tuning that sets Whipple apart from competitors in giving you the kind of crushing power you crave while at the same time providing you with the safety to ensure your Mustang isn't pushed to dangerous limits. Whipples tuning comes on a Whipple Flare Flash Tool that allows you to quickly and easily upload Whipple's tuning to your Mustang's PCM.

While Whipple broke many rules and records with its record setting S550 supercharger system, holding the title of the most powerful, most advanced supercharger system available, we weren't satisified and decided to build an all new supercharger from the ground up. The 50-State legal stage 1 supercharger system makes up to 750 (+355hp) engine horsepower and 620 (+220ft/lb) foot pound of torque on 93 octane fuel!

The Stage 1 system utilizes the stock 80mm throttle body, yet it comes with the Bosch high flow dual beam 55lb/hr fuel injector, 123mm high flow air intake system and a pulley that gives you approximately 10psi of boost. The system features a billet belt system with the billet Whipple tensioner, lightweight aluminum SC pulley, massive air-to-water intercooler, high flow intake manifold and intercooled bypass system.
