What is Header Coating?

We offer a number of coating options at a great price. Header coating makes your car run cooler and perform more consistently. It is not 100% necessary on a stainless header like this, but is great for someone who wants an extra edge at the track and lower cabin heat. Coating will add 2-4 weeks to normal order times. If this a concern, please contact us prior to ordering. Coating is for headers only!

The Pontiac G8 is a performer, that’s for sure, with a big V8 and rear wheel drive. And it keeps things classy with 4 doors, so there’s plenty of room for the family or business associates. But it is a li’l quiet for our taste, and the log-style manifold is a major choking point in the system.

Uncork the hidden power in this highbrow performance sedan with a pair of high-flowing mandrel-bent stainless steel headers from Stainless Works. They feature beefy ⅜-inch thick mounting flanges, 1 7/8-inch primaries and 3-inch diameter slip fit connectors.

These factory connect headers are designed to attach to your factory Pontiac G8 exhaust system, but with minor trimming. These long-tube headers are much longer than your factory manifold, so the connection to your factory exhaust is further towards the back of the car. All that’s required is to cut off the flange at the front of your factory system, then the headers just slip fit right on.
