What is Header Coating?

We offer a number of coating options at a great price. Header coating makes your car run cooler and perform more consistently. It is not 100% necessary on a stainless header like this, but is great for someone who wants an extra edge at the track and lower cabin heat. Coating will add 2-4 weeks to normal order times. 1997-2004 C5 Corvette American Racing Headers Long Exhaust System

A set of headers installed on your C5 Corvette is a great way to add power and performance. With several tubing size options, you will be able to get the right size of headers for however you intend to use your C5 Corvette. Our C5 systems are available with 1-3/4", 1-7/8" or 2" primaries with catted or non catted X-pipe mid-section. 1-3/4" mid sections have a 2-1/2" reduction at the flange to connect to stock system. Of course, these are manufactured using the highest quality 304 S/S available and require no modifications to install.

American Racing Corvette C5 systems are available with 1 3/4", 1-7/8" or 2" primaries and your choice of 3" x 3" Catted or non-Catted X-pipe systems. Of course, their Corvette Systems are manufactured using the highest quality 304 S/S available and require no modifications to install. All systems come standard with merge collectors with scavenger spikes. They also use the highest quality and best flowing metallic substrate catalytic converters available and all systems assemble with Grade 8 hardware and HD S/S band clamps.

A complete header package will require a proper tune, but with a tune, they can provide more than 50 extra HP across the RPM range for your Corvette. The 2" Primary system is only recommended for use on a highly modified Corvette. For most stock or standard modified Z06 Corvettes, the 1 7/8" system is ideal for your application.
